Every church has its own interpretations of the Bible. Among the debates that we often hear is about the Trinity. What is the Trinity all about? To understand it better, we must make use of the Bible as our basis. Why? Simply because the Bible was given to us to understand better about God. Though others may think or believe that the Bible was only written by men, it was actually the true words of God. To prove this, there had been a lot of things that happened in the past including human history which was already recorded in the Bible 3500 years ago.
So, what about the Trinity? Well, you cannot really find this term in the Bible. However, this term means that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are one and the same. Others think that Jesus who is God the Son is different from God the Father. Is that so?
The Bible records in the book of Isaiah that there will be a son, a child who is to be born to this earth and he will be called Mighty God, Everlasting Father. If you read in the book of Luke, the one who fulfilled that prophecy was none other than Jesus. What about God the Son and God the Holy Spirit? Are they different from each other?
The answer is NO. They are totally the same. In the Bible, Jesus is called the Counselor and the Holy Spirit is also called the same. The best thing to understand the Trinity better is to study the Bible diligently. You need someone to explain this truth better.
